Wakoucha Black Tea is a rare Japanese treasure, grown in the lush fields of Kagoshima prefecture. Unlike Japan’s celebrated green teas, this fully oxidized leaf produces a rich copper liquor with a light to medium body. The cup is bright and refreshing, with gentle maltiness, a touch of earthiness, and subtle layers of cinnamon and dark chocolate. Delicate yet distinctive, Wakōcha offers a flavour profile reminiscent of fine Ceylon teas, but with a uniquely Japanese refinement.
